Nana Barwuah

Founder/Chief Executive Officer

Nana Barwuah is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Afrovest. A student of Politics at Princeton University, Nana brings a global perspective shaped by experience across finance, policy, and social innovation. Her work bridges investment strategy with community development, drawing on a foundation built at leading institutions and civic organizations.

 

Nana’s professional background includes roles at the Federal Reserve Board, where she served as a Strategy and Financial Analysis Summer Analyst, and Macquarie Group, where she worked in Infrastructure Private Equity evaluating portfolio performance and strategic growth opportunities. She is an alumna of the Girls Who Invest program and has completed fellowships with the Civics Leaders Fellowship in Washington, D.C., and Project Destined in real estate investing.

 

Beyond finance, Nana has served on the board of Girl Code Africa, where she helped expand digital literacy programs for young women across West Africa in partnership with organizations such as Google and Amazon. She has also contributed to international non-profits, including Sierra Leone Rising and Hospitals for Humanity, helping raise funds and awareness for education and healthcare initiatives.

 

Nana’s leadership reflects a deep commitment to equity, global development, and sustainable investment. Her interdisciplinary experience continues to drive Afrovest’s mission to create opportunity through intelligent, impact-driven capital.
