Our Initiative
Afrovest Foundation is the 501(c)(3) public charity within the broader Afrovest ecosystem connecting global capital with investment-ready businesses across Africa, the diaspora, and U.S Black-owned businesses globally. At the center of our work is a curated pre-summit investor matchmaking process that connects businesses with investors based on sector, geography, investment stage, check size, and capital needs.
Beyond matchmaking, Afrovest brings together investors, founders, business leaders, government stakeholders, and institutions through the Afrovest Investment Summit, Afrovest Angel Network, and entrepreneurship initiatives. Through these efforts, we aim to strengthen investment networks, expand access to capital, and create meaningful connections between investors and entrepreneurs.
Our mission is bold: to unlock entrepreneurial potential across Africa and the diaspora while also expanding opportunity for U.S Black-owned businesses, with the ambition of mobilizing over $500 million in capital toward promising businesses over the next decade.
The Afrovest Ecosystem
Afrovest is a broader platform connecting capital, businesses, institutions, and government leaders across Africa and the global diaspora.
We support African, Africa-focused, African diaspora, and U.S. Black-owned businesses by building connections with global investors, institutions, government leaders, and ecosystem partners.
Our work operates across three distinct branches:
Afrovest Foundation is our 501(c)(3) public charity and home to the Afrovest Investment Summit, Afrovest Angel Network, pre-Summit investor matchmaking, and entrepreneurship initiatives.
Afrovest Global Capital is our commercial capital arm focused on mandate-based investor matchmaking, capital solutions, and special purpose investment opportunities.
Afrovest Media is our media arm covering the businesses, investors, capital, leaders, and deals shaping Africa and the global Black economy.
Together, these three branches allow Afrovest to connect capital, opportunity, visibility, and relationships across Africa and the global diaspora.
