Our Initiative
Afrovest is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization connecting global capital with investment-ready businesses across Africa, the diaspora, and Black-owned businesses globally. At the center of our work is a curated investor matchmaking process that connects businesses with investors based on sector, geography, investment stage, check size, and capital needs.
Beyond matchmaking, Afrovest brings together investors, founders, business leaders, government stakeholders, and institutions through the Afrovest Investment Summit, Afrovest Angel Network, investor education, and entrepreneurship initiatives. Through these efforts, we aim to strengthen investment networks, expand access to capital, and create meaningful connections between investors and entrepreneurs.
Our mission is bold: to unlock entrepreneurial potential across Africa and the diaspora while expanding opportunity for Black-owned businesses globally, with the ambition of mobilizing over $500 million in capital toward promising businesses over the next decade.

Our
Philosophy
At Afrovest, we believe meaningful investment begins with strong relationships, informed decision-making, and a deeper understanding of the markets and entrepreneurs shaping economic growth.
Our approach centers on building connections between founders, investors, institutions, and ecosystem leaders. Rather than simply creating introductions, we work to better understand the needs of businesses and the mandates of investors so that connections are intentional, relevant, and positioned to move forward.
We also recognize that expanding access to capital requires more than individual transactions. Through investor education, community building, curated convenings, and entrepreneurship initiatives, Afrovest works to strengthen the broader ecosystem around investment and business growth.
Our goal is to build a trusted platform where capital, knowledge, and relationships can come together to create lasting economic opportunity across Africa and the diaspora.
